Auto Insurance
Buying auto insurance can be overwhelming and confusing. Understanding the differences in coverage can be the key to protecting you and your loved ones in the event of an accident. This is why we like our customers to know the facts before selecting coverage. At B&J, we strive to provide you with as many options as possible, so you are prepared to select the right amount of protection for your individual needs.
We offer the following types of coverage:
Full Coverage
Full coverage insurance includes coverage for you and your vehicle, as well as the other motorist. It combines collision and comprehensive, which pay out if your vehicle is damaged, plus liabilitycoverage which pays for injuries and damage you cause to others.
•Comprehensive covers expenses from damage or loss resulting in incidents other than an accident such as theft or storms.
•Collision covers expenses to the policyholder for damage or destruction incurred as a result of an accident with another vehicle.
Liability
Liability insurance coverage helps cover the costs to the other driver’s property and bodily injuries if you’re found at fault in an accident. If you have liability insurance, your provider will cover costs for the drivers damaged car up to your covered limit. This is automatically included in full coverage.
Uninsured Motorist
Uninsured motorist coverage protects you and your passenger for bodily injury if you’re in an accident with an at-fault driver who doesn’t carry liability insurance. This coverage does not include damage to your vehicle. It is automatically included in liability and full coverage insurance. For example: If you were rear-ended and the driver who caused the collision was not insured, your policy would cover the medical costs for you and your passengers.
Underinsured Motorist
Underinsured motorist coverage is protection related to injuries sustained from an accident where the other driver is at fault and has coverage limits too low to cover your expenses. Underinsured drivers purchase only the minimum coverage required by law, which in some states isn’t much. In Wisconsin, the minimum auto coverage is $25,000 each person, $50,000 for each occurrence and $10,000 property damage. For example, if the injuries sustained were greater than $50,000 at ($25,000/person), the remainder would be covered under your insurance as underinsured motorist coverage. It can be added for an additional cost to your premium.
Medical
Medical covers treatment for the driver and passengers of the policyholder’s car in the event of an accident. It also covers funeral expenses. The amount added will determine the additional cost to the insurance premium.
Rental Reimbursement
Rental Reimbursement covers the cost of renting another vehicle while your car is in the shop for damages incurred after the accident. It can be added for an additional cost to your premium.
Towing and Labor
Towing and labor costs reimburses the insured up to the amount written in the policy each time a covered auto is disabled due to the result of an accident. It can be added for an additional cost to your premium.
Roadside Assistance
